Calgary artist, Jamie Kim, has been selected to showcase her artwork in the 2025 Stampede Rotary Dream Home!

Jamie Kim’s artistry brings a unique and captivating energy to this year’s Stampede Rotary Dream Home, perfectly complementing this year’s theme — Moody Retro Organic.

Capturing Nature’s Essence Through Art

Jamie Kim is a rehabilitation therapist and passionate artist who finds inspiration in the landscapes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. She has always had an artistic inclination and has pursued her creative path through various solo and group exhibitions, connecting with the community through local events such as the Montgomery Festive Market and the Mount Pleasant Neighbour Day Art Exhibit.

Her dedication to fine art has earned her recognition, including the Editor’s Pick and Special Prize award in Minted’s fine art challenge. This achievement refined her ability to collaborate with editors, designers, and marketing teams, translating her traditional artwork into fine art prints. She also gained hands-on experience working with local printing companies, overseeing colour corrections and ensuring professional-quality reproductions of her work.

Jamie’s artistic process begins outdoors, where she explores new hiking trails and absorbs the essence of the natural world. She translates these landscapes into contemporary paintings using raw canvas and mixed media, capturing central colours and organic forms to create pieces that feel both modern and deeply connected to nature. Beyond creativity, she takes great pride in the professional and technical aspects of her work, striving for excellence in every stage of the art-making process.
