Drawn to the Past, Inspired by Nature

Shawni Tolman’s fascination with the earth began in childhood, exploring alongside her dad on archaeology and paleontology digs. Immersing herself in the aged beauty of nature. “My hands were constantly in the dirt – questioning, uncovering, and marveling at the textures that whispered stories of time,” says Shawni. “This connection to the past, fueled by a lifelong curiosity, continues to guide my artistic journey as a self-taught artist.”

For over 27 years, Homes by Avi has partnered with Calgary Stampede Lotteries to build the Dream Home. Each year the Dream Home hosts more than 100,000 visitors from around the world throughout the 10-day Calgary Stampede, offering unique exposure to our featured artist.
